On February 28, Association Business Solutions was a proud sponsor of CASA Mardi Gras, a festive evening in support of CASA’s work on behalf of children in the foster care system throughout Mercer and Burlington Counties. Paula Harrington served as co-chair of the successful event that raised funds to help the organization expand its reach in serving the needs of our area’s most vulnerable children.
“It was an honor to have a hand in helping promote the powerful work of CASA through this event,” said Harrington. “Each member of the ABS Team is engaged in supporting organizations like CASA that make a tremendous difference in our community,” she added. “I think our firm’s commitment and passion to charitable work is at the core of what makes ABS a heart-based business. We strive for excellence in our work for our clients and in our volunteer efforts. I am truly proud of what ABS stands for, who we are as a team, and the positive impact we are making together.”
About CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children)
According to the NJ Administrative Office of the Courts, over 13,000 children in New Jersey lived in out-of-home placements in fiscal year 2014. Over 1,500 children in Mercer and Burlington Counties pass through the foster care system because of abuse, neglect or abandonment each year. Their cases are brought before a Family Court Judge who need to make critical, life-altering decisions about the children’s futures. Family Court Judges need accurate, up-to-date information to make decisions which are in the children’s best interests.
