Erica Mahnkopf is currently a senior at Allentown High School in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This year, Erica is participating in Allentown High School’s Senior Practicum program. This program allows seniors to leave campus during the school day to go to an internship, or work on an independent project. In previous years, student have interned in places such as the New Jersey Network News, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Hamilton Police Department, Premier Therapy, and many more. Now, ABS is added to the list!
Erica participates in many extracurricular activities in and out of school, while also maintaining a job and scholastic achievement. She plays on her school’s tennis and lacrosse teams, and is a member of the Science National Honor Society, Latin Honor Society and serves as the treasurer for the National English Honor Society. She also participates in the Student Council, Yearbook club, and senior class activities. Erica takes honors and Advanced Placement classes at Allentown High School, and plans to attend college in or around a city on the east coast. When not in the classroom or on the playing field, Erica can be found playing her violin or working at the Fossil store. Erica has attended summer enrichment programs at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She is scheduled to return to FIT later this year for a public relations course.
“I am really looking forward to getting the hands on experience,” Erica says, “I’m interested in learning more about marketing and business management.”
