National Trails Day and Mercer County’s Treasure
Ted Stiles Preserve at
Baldpate Mountain
This mountain preserve of more than 1,000 acres of county public open space features abundant natural landscapes, wildlife habitat, spectacular views, and more than 12 miles of multi-use passive recreation trails.
Come celebrate Mercer County’s natural treasure, the newly renovated House and Lodge, and greater access through its new, improved parking facilities on Fiddlers Creek Road and Pleasant Valley Road.

Festivities to begin at 9 a.m.
County Executive Brian M. Hughes will kick off the morning events from the base of the Summit Trail at the Fiddlers Creek Road parking area, followed by a HIKE TO THE TOP
Activities Include:

- Birding program, observation & walk
- Tour of Homestead plants
- House Tours
- Horse and Wagon Rides
- Kids Programs featuring insects and wildlife of the Mountain
- Nature Crafts
- Scavenger Hunt
Shuttle service to the mountaintop from the Fiddlers Creek Parking Area via van and tractor drawn wagon will be provided, compliments of Mercer County Park Commission
