The Rotary Club of Trenton celebrated its 100th Anniversary in October with a Gala fundraiser. $70,000 was raised to support the Boys & Girls Club’s new Mercer County Career Access Network. A wonderful time was had by Trenton Rotarians and guests!
Founded in 1914, the Trenton Rotary Club has played a pivotal role in the history of the capital city. Trenton Rotary has become the premier service organization for business and professional leaders who want to give back to the community.
A few of the many service projects currently underway:
- Trenton Rotary’s Lion Woodward Foundation Scholarship ($10,000 / year)
- Trenton Digital Initiative (brings internet connected computers to economically challenged families in Trenton)
- Bridging the Gap (high school student entrepreneurial training program)
- Youth Cultural Exchange with sister Rotary Club in Omiya, Japan (continuous since 1969)
- UFAR (fighting river blindness in the Congo)
