Congratulations to our friends at The Rescue Mission of Trenton who were honored earlier today when Governor Chris Christie chose their facility to sign a bill that will change the way New Jersey’s criminal justice system deals with drug users by expanding a program that would make treatment mandatory for nonviolent drug offenders instead of time in jail.
Rescue Mission CEO Mary Gay Abbott-Young agreed Christie’s plan has a lot of merit for helping people turn their lives around.
